ICAN Australia has published a briefing paper, and summary, on the Australian Labor Party’s platform policy, adopted in 2018 and reaffirmed in 2021, to sign and ratify the UN Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons in government. It addresses the matters to “take account of” and affirms that they present no barrier to the new government’s signature and ratification of the ban.
